We are pleased to invite you and each member of your society to the XVII International Forum of Psychoanalysis. It is promoted by the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies (IFPS); In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the federation.
It will be held in Mexico City from October 10 to October 12, 2012. Hosted by the Mexican Institute of Psychoanalysis, founding member of the IFPS in 1962.
We invite you to reflect upon the following topics during the XVII IFPS Forum:
WORKING WITH CONFLICT AND ALIENATION - 50 Years of IFPS
--Psychoanalysis and Neuroscience
-Object relationships
- --Contemporary problems: migration, kidnapping, drug trafficking, terrorism, and fundamentalism
--The psychodynamics of violence
--Development of the ego
--Depression as a challenge
--Constructive and destructive tendencies
--Etiology and psychodynamics of bullying
--The tyrant: power, politics, madness
--The self and virtual reality
INVITATION TO PRESENT INDIVIDUAL PAPERS.
We invite interested parties to present individual papers, limited each to 20 minutes. Please send abstracts (250-word) before February 28, 2012 to IMPAC by e-mail forum17impacmexico@gmail.com, with the following format: Times New Roman font size 12, either in Word 2003 or Word 2007.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES FOR FORUM XVII: Spanish and English (translation will be also in Portuguese).

Nos es grato invitarle a Ud. y a los miembros de su sociedad al XVII Foro Internacional de la Federación Internacional de Sociedades Psicoanalíticas, con el objeto de celebrar los 50 años de su fundación, tendrá lugar en la ciudad de México del 10 al 12 de octubre 2012. El Instituto Mexicano de Psicoanálisis, miembro fundador de la IFPS en 1962 estará a cargo de la organización del evento.
Idiomas oficiales son Español e Inglés (habrá traducción al portugués).
La reflexión que se invita a desarrollar durante el XVII Foro IFPS es:
-- Psicoanálisis y Neurociencias.
-- Relaciones Objetales.
-- Problemas contemporáneos: migración, secuestro, narcotráfico, terrorismo y
fundamentalismo.
-- Psicodinamia de la violencia.
-- Desarrollo del yo.
-- La Depresión como un reto.
-- Tendencias constructivas y destructivas.
-- Etiología y psicodinamia del bullying.
-- El tirano: poder, política y locura.
-- El self y la realidad virtual.
-- Psicoanálisis en línea.com
Convocatoria trabachos individuales.
Invitamos a los interesados en presentar trabajos individuales a enviar los resúmenes (250 palabras) al IMPAC, a través del correo electrónico, forum17impacmexico@gmail.com, antes del 30 de enero de 2012. Con el siguiente formato: letra Times New Roman tamaño 11, formato Word 2003, Word 2007. El tiempo de presentación se limitará estrictamente a veinte minutos.
